Tony Levi, Professor and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering — Electrophysics at the USC Viterbi School’s Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, is among the speakers at FCMN2024, the International Conference on Frontiers of Characterization and Metrology for Nanoelectronics.

Levi was invited to describe the current state-of-the-art in “Chip Scan: 3D X-Ray Imaging of CMOS Integrated Circuits” on Thursday, April 18. This is an update on an ongoing international research collaboration between USC and a team at the Swiss Light Source, previously described in a talk he gave at the Philosophical Society Washington’s meeting in November 2022. You can watch that presentation here.

The recent CHIPS ACT has refocused U.S. research and development on future manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems. The FCMN conference brings together scientists and engineers to discuss the technology needed for nanoelectronics materials, device research, development, integration and manufacturing.
