The Computer Engineering (CEng) Division is part of the Ming-Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering. It comprises three groups: Computer Architecture, Networks and VLSI/CAD. Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California is top-ranked in national surveys. Among its 16 tenured and tenure-track faculty members eight are IEEE Fellows and two are ACM Fellows. Additionally, CEng has nine research, teaching, and adjunct faculty. It serves about 120 undergraduate students through a joint degree program with the USC’s Computer Science Department (CECS) and approximately 200 Master’s level graduate students. The CEng faculty members supervise some 50 PhD students. Our outstanding faculty has extensive experience with state-of-the-art research and design of computer systems and instill that experience in their teaching.
