Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
The University of Southern California, one of the nation’s top research universities, seeks a candidate for a teaching position (Lecturer or higher rank) to teach undergraduate and graduate students in courses offered by the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (https://minghsiehece.usc.edu) in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible teaching faculty position on the non-tenure track. Competitive candidates will have the training and experience to teach effectively in a highly-ranked department that advances undergraduate students through an accredited BS degree program and graduate students enrolled in world-class MS and PhD programs.
We are interested in candidates from all areas of electrical and computer engineering, particularly those with expertise in analog circuits and electronics, and with experience in integrated circuit design. An earned doctorate in electrical and computer engineering or a closely related field is required. The position primarily involves teaching. Thus, all candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching and teaching-related duties, with reduced obligation for research and university service. While we seek applications at the level of Lecturer, in exceptional cases applicants with longer and more accomplished teaching experience and/or other significant credentials may also be considered for a commensurate higher-ranked position (e.g., Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor of Practice, or Professor of Practice).
The anticipated start date is 1 January 2022; however, if the position is not filled by that date, a start date of 16 August 2022 may be possible.
