Research Summary
We have developed an expanded and richer fuzzy logic---type-2 fuzzy logic---that lets a broad range of uncertainties be directly modeled within the framework of fuzzy logic, something that can not be done within the framework of traditional (type-1) fuzzy logic. We have focused on all sorts of interesting theoretical, design and application issues for type-2 fuzzy logic systems.
